This policy explains what SUE Mobile does with information on an Android phone, iPhone, or iPad. It applies to the app distributed by SUE Roaster Indonesia. It does not make SUE Roaster Indonesia free from legal claims. It tells you, plainly, what the app handles and what it does not.

1. Who operates the app

SUE Roaster Indonesia publishes SUE Mobile. This page is the public privacy policy for that app: https://sueroasters.com/privacy.html.

2. What the app is

SUE Mobile is a remote screen for one SUE coffee roaster. After you scan that machine’s QR code, the phone may connect by Bluetooth to the roaster that advertises the name SUE15. While that link is open and you press START, the phone can send burner opening and airflow settings and can show bean temperature, environment temperature, rate of rise, and gas pressure.

The phone is not the machine’s emergency stop, main power switch, gas-safety system, or fire-protection system. Those stay on the machine.

3. Information the app uses on your phone

The app does not ask you to create an account. SUE Roaster Indonesia does not receive an account profile from this app.

Camera. The camera is used only to read the QR code shown on the roaster. The app checks whether the code reads SUE15. The image is processed on the phone for that check. The app does not save the picture into your photo library, does not upload the picture, and does not use the camera for any other purpose.

Bluetooth. After a matching QR code, the app looks for a Bluetooth Low Energy device named SUE15. If it connects, the phone sends a link signal, and, only while START is on, the air percentage, the burner percentage, and a flag that the phone is holding those settings. The roaster sends back bean temperature, environment temperature, rate of rise, and gas pressure for the session on screen. Those values are kept in the phone’s memory for that visit. They are cleared when you leave the control screen or the link drops. They are not written to an account and are not sent to a SUE Roaster Indonesia server by this app.

The app does not ask for your location, contacts, photos, microphone, tracking permission, or advertising identifier.

4. Information SUE Roaster Indonesia does not collect

Through this app, SUE Roaster Indonesia does not collect:

• your name, email, phone number, or address
• precise or coarse location
• a copy of the QR image
• roast logs, temperature history, or gas-pressure history stored on a server
• payment information, because the app is free and has no purchases
• diagnostics, crash reports, or analytics added by SUE Roaster Indonesia
• advertising identifiers or data used to track you across other companies’ apps

Apple, Google, and the maker of your phone have their own systems. This policy does not control Apple’s diagnostics, iCloud, or App Store records, and it does not control Google’s diagnostics or Google Play records. Read the privacy policies of Apple and Google for those.

5. Where processing happens

QR reading, the control screen, and the Bluetooth session run on your phone and on the roaster you connected. This app does not operate a cloud service for roast data. If a future version sends data off the phone, SUE Roaster Indonesia will change this policy and the privacy labels on the App Store and Google Play before that version is released.

6. How long information stays

Session readings stay only while the control screen is open and the link is up. Leaving that screen, disconnecting, or closing the app ends that session copy. The app does not keep a roast archive for you.

7. Sharing

SUE Roaster Indonesia does not sell information from this app. SUE Roaster Indonesia does not share information from this app with advertisers or data brokers, because the app does not send that information to SUE Roaster Indonesia.

The Bluetooth link necessarily shares the control values and the sensor readings with the roaster you chose to connect. That exchange is the function of the app. Do not scan a QR code on a machine you are not allowed to operate.

8. Children

SUE Mobile is a tool for operating a hot, gas-fired machine. It is not directed at children. Do not let a child install or use it. SUE Roaster Indonesia does not knowingly collect personal information from children through this app.

9. Security

The Bluetooth link is the link provided by the phone and the roaster. The QR code shows that the phone is looking for a machine whose code reads SUE15. It is not a password and it does not prove who is holding the phone. Keep the phone locked. Do not leave a connected phone where another person can press START.

10. Your requests

Because the app does not send personal information to SUE Roaster Indonesia, there is usually no file to access, correct, or delete. If you believe something was sent to hello@sueroasters.com by mistake, write to that address and describe the date and the phone. SUE Roaster Indonesia will answer requests required by the law that applies to it.

11. International use

The roaster and the phone may be in any country where you lawfully operate them. SUE Roaster Indonesia, at the address above in Medan, Indonesia, is responsible for this policy. Customers in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and other regions may have additional rights under their local law. Those rights still apply where the law says they cannot be waived.

12. Changes

SUE Roaster Indonesia may replace this policy by posting a new version at this same public URL and, when Apple or Google requires it, by updating the app. The date at the top will change. Continuing to use the app after the new date means you have the new policy available. If a change starts collecting personal information, the app will ask for any permission the phone requires and the store listing will be updated first.
